Fixed width fonts

Hi,

Integrated ScintillaNET into our application to be the editor for our proprietary language. I'm using the SCIde configuration at the moment but cannot seem to get fixed width fonts to work.

I went back to trying it in SCIde. I set the fonts in the SciTEGlobal.properties file to:

font.base=font:Consolas,size:10
font.small=font:Verdana,size:8
font.comment=font:Comic Sans MS,size:9
font.code.comment.box=$(font.comment)
font.code.comment.line=$(font.comment)
font.code.comment.doc=$(font.comment)
font.text=font:Times New Roman,size:11
font.text.comment=font:Verdana,size:9
font.embedded.base=font:Verdana,size:9
font.embedded.comment=font:Comic Sans MS,size:8
font.monospace=font:Consolas,size:10
font.vbs=font:Lucida Sans Unicode,size:10

i.e. changed the font.base and font.monospace fonts to be Consolas (fixed width).

However in SCIde I only get fixed width fonts if I set the language to "Text". Anything else, e.g. C# and the font isn't displayed fixed width - despite it being a fixed width font.

What is it that makes the font display as fixed width?

Regards

John
