Release Notes

This release has been built from the 2.5 branch.

Version 2.5.2 is functionally identical to the 2.5.1 release but also includes the XML documentation comments file generated by Visual Studio.

It is not 100% comprehensive but it will give you Visual Studio IntelliSense for a large part of the API. Just make sure the ScintillaNET.xml file is in the same folder as the ScintillaNET.dll reference you're using in your projects. (The XML file does not need to be distributed with your application).

Apologies for missing it last time. Your IntelliSense experience should be much better now.

Reviews for this release

This was short lived project that is apparently dead (over a year for activity). The major failing of this project is their use of their own undocumented configuration file format. That leaves you with only 8 of the over 80 language options support by the native Scintilla DLL. They could have the software to "fall back" to the native DDL for the unsupported languages but they failed there also.

Nice work. I use it in Ghostscript Studio (https://ghostscriptstudio.codeplex.com)

Although this is not a perfect winforms control, it is certainly the easiest to use free code editor out there. I was already a big fan of Scintilla and I was very happy to find out there was already a wrapping for it. The documentation is not complete, of course, but still rather impressive for a control like this.

Tried it with XML files and works perfectly. The ability to position the cursor programatically and select a given line works great.
